Data historization

In many cases it is important – or even mandatory – to be able to trace exactly who changed which data at what time. What was previously only visible in the form of e-mail notifications of changes will be saved in CrewBrain in the future and can therefore be traced exactly at a later date.

Data types

The history is created for all relevant data types such as base data, jobs, tasks, travel expenses and requests. All attributes are always recorded, so that changes can be traced later not only for the entire data record but also for each individual attribute. All settings in the administration are also historized, and the changes can also be traced there.

Storage duration

The storage period depends on your tariff and the storage period you have configured. In the M and L tariffs, the history is stored for up to 30 (M) or 90 (L) days. In the XL tariff, unlimited storage is also possible. Deletion is based on the object in question. In the case of a job, for example, the data is deleted after the period following the event date.

Display historical data

There is a special dialog for displaying historical data, which is available to all employees who have write access to the respective data object. In most dialogs the link is located at the bottom left, in case of tables it can be accessed via a button in the right area of the table.

Read the history

The dialog shows all changes to the object in chronological order. The date and the user as well as the individually changed fields are shown. For each field, the old and new values are shown, so that all changes can be fully traced.

Linked objects

In many cases, there are linked or subordinate objects (for example, the employees in a job). These are also displayed in the history when they are added or deleted. Changes to the objects themselves (for example, to an employee's request) can be viewed using links in the history.

Release documents in jobs

In all jobs it can be defined per document whether this document should be available for all employees, only booked employees or only for schedulers. This means that documents that are not intended for all employees can now also be stored in the job.

Dark Mode for the WebApp

The Dark Mode already enjoyed great popularity at GigPlaner – although it never made it past the beta stage there. For CrewBrain we have planned and considered Dark Mode from the beginning and are therefore happy to introduce Dark Mode in the web app for smartphones as well. The changeover can be done by every employee under My Account > Settings.

Hello Iceland!

One of the reasons for switching from GigPlaner to CrewBrain was the desire to make our product even more international. The Icelandic market is now the first to start with. Our local partner Sessor ehf has translated both CrewBrain and our website completely into Icelandic and we look forward to this new challenge.

Further optimizations

• The entry of school holidays and official holidays in the administration has been extended so that entries from older periods can also be selected. In this way, it is also possible to make subsequent adjustments (for example, to the calculation of public holidays for time recording).
• The entry of holidays under My Account has also been adjusted, so that previous entries can be selected and searched here as well.
• Additional data can also be configured for locations and service providers in the future.

Switch to CrewBrain now

More than 50% of our customers have already switched to CrewBrain and we are happy about the positive feedback we have received in the past weeks and months. Since maintaining two systems is extremely time-consuming, we have decided to publish future updates only for CrewBrain. But of course GigPlaner is still available in the current version.

Of course you can still use the GigPlaner, but only security updates will be installed there.

Switch now

To switch to CrewBrain with your account, you can simply log in to CrewBrain and then click on "Switch now" under General in the settings. This will automatically redirect your employees to CrewBrain when they start GigPlaner and activate the latest version of CrewBrain for you.
