Some small optimizations before the summer break

Dear clients,

slowly but surely, summer vacation is approaching for many – despite the pandemic. Time for us to bring you up to date again with a CrewBrain update info.

At the moment we are focusing on some longer-term topics, so the scope of the current update is smaller than usual. The new CrewBrain version will be available as usual from tomorrow and includes, among other things, optimizations in short recording, tasks for jobs & projects, and a new vacation process with substitution rules.

Optimized short recording

The short recording function makes it possible to enter jobs or sub-jobs in a simple and fast way. In addition to the times and other relevant information, the personnel requirements can also be entered directly.

Color accents

To further optimize the work with this view, from now on the already filled fields in the personnel requirement are highlighted in green. In addition, the dropdown for the job type is also highlighted in color, provided that colors have been assigned for the job types in the administration (also applies to the dropdown for the job info).

Easy navigation

To make the list even easier to edit, it is now possible to navigate within the table using the arrow keys on the keyboard. In this way, additions and adjustments can be made quickly.

Import tasks

For some time now, it has been possible to define templates for tasks in the administration, which are then created automatically for certain job types.

Simply import…

From now on, it is also possible to import any task lists (from jobs, projects or your own lists) within a job or project. During the import, not only the source can be selected, it can also be defined whether, for example, completed tasks should also be taken over.

…and edit

The tasks are copied to the respective job and can then be processed there independently of the original tasks.

Vacation replacement

In many companies, a vacation replacement arrangement is made in each case. This process is now also possible via the CrewBrain vacation functions.

Activate once…

Once activated in the settings, employees must always designate a replacement in the future, who must additionally release the vacation.

…and use it

Only after approval by the representative does such a leave request then go on to the supervisor, who gives the final approval.

Further optimizations

Of course, in addition to the major issues, there are also some minor adjustments that make working with CrewBrain easier and add useful features to the system.

Work equipment can now be copied. If a certain work equipment is issued to an employee several times, a template can be created and copied once. Afterwards, only specific information such as the serial number must be adjusted.
Individual title lines can now be assigned to widgets in the dashboard. The title is preset with the name of the widget, but this text can now be customized via the edit function of the widgets. In this way, for example, several job filters can be distinguished from one another on the basis of the title.
