The wait is finally over. The beta phase for the new project and job dialog is launching, and we will gradually roll out this feature to all customers. You can find more details further down in this update.
In addition, we are excited to introduce a comprehensive update packed with powerful new features, which we are delighted to present in this release. Over the past few weeks, we have also introduced two major enhancements in the app.

The New Project & Job Dialog
For over a year and a half, we have been working behind the scenes on a complete redesign of the project and job dialog. The new version is tailored for managing complex projects and significantly accelerates planning. New interactive planning views are now available, redefining how you work with CrewBrain.
Beta Rollout
The beta rollout will take place in multiple phases. Activation is handled per company, and each user can individually choose whether to use the old or new dialog. The old dialog remains accessible at any time from within the new one.
Apply Now
Access will be prioritized for customers who register for the beta phase. Signing up is quick and easy via My Account > Settings > New Features or via the registration link.
SMS Notifications
One of the most requested features on our roadmap is finally here: SMS notifications. We are thrilled to roll out this functionality to all customers with the new release.
Enable Sending
SMS notifications can be activated under Administration > System > Notifications > SMS. As with email notifications, you can configure for each notification type whether an SMS should be sent.
Top Up Credit
Since SMS delivery remains relatively costly, messages are billed based on usage. A prepaid balance must be added in CrewBrain before sending SMS notifications. Top-ups are done via credit card and can be automated when the balance runs low.
Phone Number
For SMS notifications, a phone number must be stored under My Account > Notifications. It can also be saved in the master data for each user. After entering the number, a verification SMS will be sent.
Time Tracking
As with nearly every update, we have enhanced time tracking once again. Compensatory days allow you to track work on Sundays and public holidays, while the option to grant vacation in hours is particularly relevant outside Germany.
Compensatory Days
Within the billing period, you can now enable tracking of compensatory days. The counter increases for each Sunday or public holiday worked. An additional vacation account allows you to reduce this balance. The required vacation category may need to be created manually.
Vacation in Hours
You can now optionally grant vacation not only in days per year but also in hours per hour worked. In this case, a vacation hours account is maintained, which increases with each hour worked and decreases when vacation is taken.
App Enhancements
We have also implemented several important improvements in our app in recent weeks. In addition to a simplified job view, all dashboard widgets from the desktop version are now available in the app.
Simplified Job View
Job elements are now displayed as clear tiles that indicate whether content is available. This makes information easier and faster to access. You can switch back to the old view at any time if needed.
Dashboard
The app now displays all dashboards from the desktop version. Under the “Dashboards” menu, each dashboard has its own entry, and icons can now be assigned. This ensures full access to your key data even on the go.
Further Optimizations
As always, we have made additional improvements in this update.
Applicant Management
We have refined the application workflow for better usability, clearer guidance, improved visibility of required fields, and a more complete summary. Applicant management features are now also available in API v2.
O365 Sync
Office 365 sync now optionally includes public holidays. Additionally, scheduled times are now aligned with default times instead of only transferring job durations.
API v2
We have significantly expanded API v2. Highlights include new endpoints for room management and applicant management.
Easyjob-Sync
In Easyjob-Sync, document visibility can now be set not only globally but also based on keywords in the file name. For example, all files containing “Quote” in their name can be hidden, while all files containing “Packing List” can be made visible.
Rentman Sync
Similar to the Easyjob Sync, we have also enhanced Rentman Sync to allow documents to be imported from projects. Here, too, you can define custom visibility settings based on the file name.
